Gary Tim is a Guyana-born multi-faceted mass communications specialist. He has served in several positions (including member of the Board of Directors) in radio and television broadcasts within the private and government-owned sectors in Guyana before moving to the USA. 

Gary was trained at the University of South Carolina’s College of Mass Communications in Columbia, SC; the Voice of America (VOA) in Washington, DC and the Cable News Network (CNN) in Atlanta, GA and the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) London, UK. He has had numerous award-winning presentations in the print and electronic media in a career spanning two decades. Gary also serves as a free-lance photo-journalist for media houses in the US, Guyana and the Caribbean, and operates a small media research and management consultancy – Spandent.com. 

A former national junior rugby and badminton player in his native Guyana, Gary has a passion for sports, including soccer and track and field. He managed a track club and served in the national Amateur Athletic Association, as well as being a public relations coordinator for a soccer sub-association, there. Gary is currently an overseas-based member of the Guyana Football Federation’s World Cup Committee.
